Parent Place: insurance, scheduling & policies
EverGrins has a few office policies, and we bend them to fit your family whenever we can. Here's how insurance, scheduling and cancellations work.

Insurance we work with
Your dental plan determines whether EverGrins is in or out of network for you. Our team is happy to work with your insurance company to get you the benefits you're entitled to.
Don't see your plan? Call us. We'll file with any PPO insurance as long as it doesn't require your child to see a specific doctor on its list. And please let us know about any insurance changes, like a new policy, insurer address or employer.

Understanding dental insurance
Dental insurance is a contract between your employer and an insurance company. Your benefits depend on what your employer negotiated, so coverage varies a lot from plan to plan. Your plan booklet lists any services that aren't covered.
How we help, and how payment works
- We check your coverage before the first visit.
- We submit claims for you to get the maximum reimbursement you're entitled to.
- Some insurers pay slower than others. If needed, we'll contact them for you.
- If your insurer doesn't pay, the balance is your responsibility.
- Payment is due at the time of treatment. CareCredit and in-office payment plans are available.
We'll always try to build a treatment plan that fits your schedule and budget and gives your child the best care.
Scheduling
Visits are by appointment, but we always make time for emergencies. We work hard to see your child at the scheduled time and ask that you do the same.
Book ahead. Schedule your child's next checkup before you leave. It's the best way to get early-morning and late-afternoon times.
Morning works best for many kids. Preschoolers are usually most cooperative in the morning, which lets us work at a calm, comfortable pace. School-age kids often prefer mornings too, depending on the treatment planned.
School notes. Schools count dental visits as excused absences. Ask us for a doctor's letter for the teacher.
Sometimes treatment can't be finished as planned. We know a second visit is inconvenient, but we will not restrain or distress a child to finish non-emergency dental work.

Cancellations
Please give 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice have a $50 fee.
We're a small office that sees one patient at a time, so your child's appointment is reserved just for them. We understand that illness and emergencies happen. Let us know as early as you can and we'll find a better time. The best appointment times are hard to fill on short notice.
